Action in the World: The action of giving encompasses many areas. It is an outgoing, overflowing, ongoing way of life. In gratitude for God's gift of life to me, I share that gift with others. Jewelry, money and things are sometimes not “gifts”, but apologies and make ups for gifts. The only true gift is a part of me. The gifts of “things” are never as valuable as the gifts of my time and thoughts. What I think becomes what I feel, what I feel becomes what I create, who I become, and the actions I take.

The action of giving is when I give the gift of my heart: love, kindness, joy, compassion, empathy, trust, forgiveness...
The action of giving is when I give the gift of my mind: ideas, dreams, purposes, principles, plans, inventions, projects…
The action of giving is when I give the gift of my spirit: prayer, vision, beauty, grace, peace, faith...
The action of giving is when I give the gift of my time: listening, seeing, understanding, validating, and being with someone…
The action of giving is when I give the gift of my words: encouragement, inspiration, support, acceptance, praise...

I give of myself with complete surrender and humbleness.
I give to my wife a faithful, loyal, safe loving husband I give to my children a safe, understanding, loving father I give to my home and family the security of knowing that I will always be here, no matter what. I give to my job and work, loyalty, integrity, commitment. I give to my community, country and world a good man. I give to myself a lift toward that place deep within, my authentic self. The greatest action I take, is giving the gift that God gave me, life.
