Personal Mission: "To love unconditionally".

Action in the World: Rob Bell has dedicated much of his life, to the care and service of men and women in his community. He has in particular been a great source of informed, compassionate counsel and support to those seeking an immediate or ongoing solution to drug and alcohol addiction and problems of an emotional and behavioural nature.Through sharing with others, the fruits of an unending desire to explore the spiritual aspects of his life has empowered and enabled those around him to do the same.Over the course of the last decade and the last three years in particular, Rob has built deep and lasting bonds of trust and understanding with the prison authorities. In both our local mens prison and the young offenders institution he has actually put in place a channel for those - in the custody of the state and seeking to bring about a lasting change in their own life - the opportunity to do so anonymously with the fellowship and support of their peers.

The creation of the Richmond Bridge Friendship Club (set up and run by Rob with a team of volunteers) - a facility offering a safe and secure home for a number of self-help groups devoted to helping those who still suffer from addiction and grave emotional disorders, as well as a range of complimentary activities - is the direct result of Robs determined pursuit of his vision and the fruit of his not inconsiderable labour. Rob is a man who has overcome personal difficulties in his life, the scale of which, to the average person are ,quite simply, unimaginable. He has done this with grace and fortitude. The considerable insight and wisdom that this has granted him is freely given to all. All this is strongly tempered with a very deep modesty, humility and compassion which touches everyone he comes into contact with.
