Action in the World: What started this is an off-hand comment I made during a staff meeting as we were talking about multi-culturism. I remarked that I had to make a rack to hold 27 toothbrushes in my house. The toothbrush rack was necessary because my wife and I welcome so many different kids into our home at various times. The kids are a diverse group of many ages, colors, religions and abilities – and they all need to brush their teeth before bedtime. We run a youth circus in St. Louis that has trained hundreds of kids who have performed high level circus skills in front of millions of spectators. Two of our former students are now teaching in this program and two more are now electricians in my business. Once upon a time, they had their own toothbrushes at our house.
